In addition to using an inferior book, the instructor also decided to skip over trigonometry altogether. When my copy of Stewart fell apart awhile back, I decided to order this to replace it, since it was one recommended by CAS/SOA for Exam 1. I am not disappointed. This has more graphs and pictures than Stewart to help explain some of the fundamentals better.
