Plenty of problems to go through. Very helpful when trying to review for exams or GRE math subject test. If you have never taken any calculus, the explanations here are in outline form and will not help you understand much. This book covers Calc 1-2-3 in most undergrad requirements. If you are wanting to learn theory, there is almost none. ...more

However I think he did this on purpose to make calculus less drab. as far as the subject matter goes, he chops things up and feeds it to you in little pieces as though you were a baby. Often has too many examples which can make it hard to pay attention at times but I suppose is better than too few. I treat this book as supplementary instruction to my calculus class.
